My name is Valerie, and I am a CELTA  and FLE certified professional English and French teacher with over six years of language teaching experience, and more than 15 years of work experience in both corporate America and the public sector. My academic background in Business, Information Technology, Philosophy and Human Relations, along with my work experience and my curious and ever learning personality have helped me develop and apply skills in a wide range of industries and business arenas in which I have worked, including:

• Banking
• Business operations optimization
• Applications and user Interface design, testing, implementation and training
• Intellectual property, specifically, patent application drafting and prosecution.

Having worked in all those spheres and more, I know what it takes to effectively communicate, train, negotiate and deliver a persuasive speech or presentation. I also know the importance of being mindful of different cultures in our communication process, and the challenges, which for me, are opportunities to learn and adapt. My teaching method is customized to each client’s needs and goals, taking into account their skills, professional and cultural backgrounds, as well as their collaborators or audience.

My clientele consists of diverse professionals such as business owners, entrepreneurs, CEOs and other C-level executives, professors, researchers, doctorate candidates, attorneys, programmers, Sales and Marketing executives, Human Resources managers, academic leaders, and inventors to name a few.
